Today was the day he'd convince his rival to do the face board in Humilau city with him. Kyouhei was absolutely positive the board was meant for couples and he and Hyuu were not that, but he didn't care. He had to admit, he had a small crush on him.
Kyouhei flew to Humilau city and then looked down to his xtransceiver and called his friend. Hyuu almost instantly answered the call.
"Hey Kyouhei,"
"Ah, Hey Hyuu! I just wanted to ask you something quickly,"
"Okay, what is it?"
"Well.. have you been to Humilau city?"
"Yes, of course. You were there with me!"
"Haha, yeah. Well... can you come meet me here?"
"Oh, sure. I'll be there soon, see you"
"See you!"
And with that, Hyuu ended the phone call. Kyouhei sat on the short grass next to the gym while he waited. It didn't take long before Hyuu arrived. He walked over to Kyouhei and waved slowly.
"Hey there," he said.
Kyouhei waved back, and stood up.
"So, why did you want me to meet you here?" Hyuu asked.
"Well I was just wondering..." Kyouhei was blushing. He never thought it would be this difficult, it seemed simpler in his head...
"Yeah?" Hyuu said slowly. He noticed Kyouhei's res face but chose not the comment on it
"Will you... Do the face board with me?!" Kyouhei closed his eyes in embarrassment, pointing to the said board.
"What?!" Hyuu blushed slightly "That's meant for couples..."
"Well are you going to do it with me or not...?" Kyouhei looked at his feet.
"W-well..." Hyuu blushed more and he looked around them quickly, to see if anyone was around. He slowly whispered in Kyouhei's ear. "Y-yes.. I will.."
Kyouhei shivered and mentally praised himself for making it this far.
"But.. we will need to take a picture!"
"Why?! We don't need to..."
"If we don't take a picture then how will we know what we look like?"
"...fine then,"
Kyouhei smiled.
"Wait a moment while I get someone to take the picture!"
Hyuu nodded, while Kyouhei quickly walked to the Pokemon centre. After a few moments, he walked back over to Hyuu with a nurse.
"Now boys, let's do this quickly because I can't leave the Pokemon centre for long," She said, preparing her camera.
They both nodded.
"So... Which hole?" Kyouhei thought the question sounded rather odd, but it needed to be asked.
"Well... I should be the male, and you should be the female.."
"What, why?"
Hyuu blushed "well... Because you're pretty like a girl..."
Kyouhei's face went red, and the nurse giggled.
"You win,"
After that, Kyouhei put his face in the hole. Hyuu did the same.
"Okay! Smile!" The nurse said.
Kyouhei smiled and at least Hyuu made an effort. Both of their faces were red.
The nurse took a photo and seemed pleased with the outcome.
"Okay, it's done now!" She said
Both of the boys left the board.
"Thank you very much, nurse!" Kyouhei exclaimed
"I can print the picture if you want!"
"Yes please!"
Kyouhei and Hyuu followed the nurse into the Pokemon centre.
"How many prints do you want?" The nurse smiled.
"Two photos please!"
The nurse nodded and printed them out after a few seconds, handing a photograph to each of them.
"Thank you," they both said.
After a few seconds They left the building together.
"Kyouhei... I want to tell you something.." Hyuu stated awkwardly.
"Sure! Go ahead!"
"Well the thing is... I've wanted to do something like that for a while now and..."
"Hm?"
"Kyouhei, I think... I... Lo-love you... I have for a while now.." Hyuu looked away, face flushed.
Kyouhei wrapped his arms around him quickly, blushing, and smiling.
"I lo-love you too... I think so anyway..."
Hyuu smiled, genuinely, and hugged him back.
