O Lord I know that without faith
it is impossible to please you,
Teach me how to make my faith
Stronger every day.
I know that your word is true,
And what you say will happen,
Yet, when I find myself in trouble
I fall into the sin of fear!
Teach me how to hear and absorb
what you say to me in your word,
And show me how I can apply that truth
to the situations in my life.
For faith comes by hearing
And hearing by the word of God,
So as I read Your word each day
I know that my faith will grow.
Teach me O Lord that wehn troubles come
I must rely on you
And believe in the promises you have given,
In your powerful, precious word.
And I know that in all things which happen to me,
You are teaching me to grow in faith,
Help me to learn and live what you teach me
That I may be pleasing to you!
And I thank you Lord God for the gift of faith
And for all the promises you have made,
I will believe in you all of my life
till I finally see your face.
