A man with pure white robes appeared in the sight of a young boy. This boy thought that a man with robes like those must be wealthy, so he then began to stalk his target. As he got closer he tried to spy a purse, as soon as he found it he outstretched his arm to pickpocket. As carefully as he could he snatched the purse, but he did it too quickly which alerted the man."What do you" the man didn't even finish his sentence because he had to chase down the boy. The boy who knew he could not outrun this man took a turn in an alley but realized his mistake as soon as his chaser cornered him. As the man studied the thief the sight shocked him, the thief was a boy, who looked barely 10, with tattered clothes, and was more bones than flesh. "What's your name boy, where's your parents. "Altaïr, and I have no parents." the boy replied. "Hmmm... Well my name is Abdul-Hakim, how would you like it if I brought you to my home." Altaïr was suspicious and asked "why?" "Because I have two other sons and I can't bear watch a child like your self"'Finally Altaïr accepted thinking a meal would come from after this. After the long ride to Masyaf they finally made it to Abdul's home. As soon as he opened the door a woman embraced him while saying "Welcome back my love." A second later two boys came out rushing to hug their father. " Malik, Kadar I'd like you to meet Altaïr, now while you three play I need to speak to your mother." As Abdul pulled Amber outside she said "Why did you bring back a child!" "He was homeless so I thought he could stay with us." "Absolutely not, we have enough mouths to feed" " then at least let him stay for a few nights." "Very well." Amber begrudgingly agreed. When they came back in they announced that Altaïr would be staying for a few days. Malik was shocked but Kadar was over joyed for the possibility of a new friend, but Altaïr was shocked the most since he never had a family or a home, and that these people were willing to take him in. Amber told him he could sleep in the living room on a rug with pillows. Later that night Amber asked Altaïr. "Where's your family?" "I dunno, I don't remember them." After dinner it was time to sleep, and for the first time in his life he slept comfortable in the silk pillows.
