In the whole universe there could never be
One who loves me as much as you,,
Noone would sacrifice his only son
to reach out to someone like me.
For we didn't know that we needed salvation
Until you made it clear in our hearts,
yet you died and willingly gave yourself
To be a bridge from heaven to earth.
One may die for someone beloved
One might sacrifice oneself for a friend,
but you gave your life to those who rejected you
And suffered for a world who didn't care.
And you reached out to me when I was a child
In a way that I could understand,
You were my friend when I was most in need
And you taught me how to live and love.
And now you are so much dearer to me
Than I ever could have imagined!
You are the very reason I get up each day,
You are my guide and my hope.
And in you I find such certainty
That tomorrow will be a better place,
And in you I find more love than I could dream of,
Love that will stay with me always.
And so I thank you Jesus for all that you've done,
And all that you are doing for me,
And for your love and your gift of new life
That is totally transforming me.

For you created everything that exists
And show your love to people like me.
