A/N: Something I came up with in 8th grade for a Language Arts project. I remember the poster looked awful. XD Ah well, this is what happened after I read and watched LOTR and became insanely obsessed with it. Yeah it's kinda childish and not very well written but hey. I was A LOT stranger 5 years ago. R&R please.

Hope you enjoy!

The Golden Ages

The golden ages

When the sun broke

Over the horizon,

Onto the cold morning.

When the rasp of

Steel and the hum

Of arrows was

All around you.

When horses ran,

Wild and free,

Over the fields

Wet with dew.

When the rangers

Melted into the

Forest and the

Enemy paid no attention.

When the elves were

Young and fair and

In a merry mood

For singing.

When the Dwarves delved deep

Into the mountains,

Searching for the most beautiful

Gems and riches.

When the hobbits lived undisturbed

In their hobbit holes,

Unknown in the world outside their own,

Living in peace.

When the Ents roamed freely

Through the forests, herding trees

And singing songs in a language

Too complex for the average man.

When the wizards were

Known and terrible

Bringing wisdom

From far and wide.

When evil was unborn

Not in the shadow

Of darkness, not in

The depths of the sea.

When the earth was filled with good,

And the peoples lived

In harmony and peace together,

Like a perfect symphony.

When castles stood,

Strong and tall,

Shimmering and shinning

In the midday sun.

When love was the only strong emotion,

And hate was not known,

And two people could only think of one thing:

Each other.

When the sun dipped

Blow the horizon and

Cast its last glance

On the world above. Turning

The blue sky to

Purple, pink, and gold.

When the sea was

Turned to blood

In the evening rays,

And the cold moon shone.

Those were the golden ages.
