The day I gave birth to this marvelous story: August 11th 2011
Why? Nova thought to herself Why? Why? Why?! Nova was in her room shivering and clutching her hands around the fire coming from the tip of her tail Why did we have to come to this stupid arctic planet? Why did the heating systems have to fail? Why can't Otto and Gibson fix the robot any faster? WHY CAN'T WE JUST GET OUT OF HERE?! Of course, she knew the answer to all of these questions, but that didn't stop her from complaining to herself. She shivered and brought the fire even closer to herself, feeling as though the temperature was dropping lower every second. She heard the door to her room open and turned her head to see Sprx in her doorway with a smirk on his face. She shot him an annoyed glare and then turned her head back to the fire, couldn't he see that she wasn't in the mood for his antics?
"Hey Nova!" Sprx chimed in a happy tone Nova just growled under her breath not even turning to face him. "Boy someone's moody!" remarked Sprx "What cha doing up here all by yourself?" he asked with curiosity and a bit of concern "Trying to keep warm" Nova said bitterly "oh?" Sprx asked with a devilish look on his face "I think I can help with that" he said smoothly. Before Nova even had time to react he grabbed her from behind and pulled her into a warm embrace. "Sprx what is this?!" Nova demanded angrily "Nothin" Sprx replied "Just trying to help ya keep warm" with that he winked at her which only made her more angry. "Sprx!" she yelled "Let go NOW!" "Not a chance!" he cheered. Nova struggled but couldn't break free from his grasp, the cold had made her weak and it was hard to punch him from the position she was in.
After a long while of struggling (not to mention flirting from Sprx) Nova conceded "Fine." She sighed no longer struggling "You win. I give up." Sprx only smiled at this "I knew you'd give in" he remarked winking at her. He then turned her around to face him, only loosing his grip for a second and then embraced her frontally, this time hugging her even harder and tighter Nova blushed, and then after awhile returned the embrace, realizing it had worked in keeping her warm. For a time there was silence all they could hear were they're own individual thoughts and heartbeats steadily increasing. Sprx was the first to break the silence "So Nova" he began "You uh getting any warmer?" the smile had returned to his face and Nova, instead of responding in anger just said "Yeah..." and whispered "Thanks Sprx" "Don't mention it!" he chimed in Nova blushed then said "Don't worry, never will" But Sprx never lost his smile
Eventually they sat up, still hugging against a wall and fell asleep, Nova's head on Sprx's shoulder and Sprx with a smile planted on his face and his arm wrapped around Nova, both of their tails entwined.
