''Elizaveta..." a soft, silky voice whispered, filled with distress and disappointment. A tall, handsome albino with white messy hair and red eyes stood in the rain, looking down at the girl next to him. He didn't understand why she was leaving, or why she had to look so beautiful just at that moment, with her hair dripping into her perfect face with her perfect green eyes and the perfect curve of her nose and full lips. Gilbert realized that her eyes were not bright and full of life as they usually were- he also realized that he had said her full name for the first time. The stunning girl tried to bring a smile to her face as she looked up into his face, and said, ''I hope...no, I will see you again, Gil...'' ''But why? Why do you have to go? I've met this Austria guy and he doesn't seem... he's just, you know, the fancy type.'' Hungary looked away as she whispered, ''I know he's fancy- but he's also rich...that's why I'm marrying him." Prussia winced and looked away as she said that, mumbling something about how they grew up together and this Austria was so unawesome. The girl put her soft hand on Prussia's face and gently turned it back towards her. As he stared into her gorgeous eyes, he was startled to find her tearing up. He was even more shocked to find that, the next second, she had wrapped her hands around his neck and rested her head on his hard chest. As if he couldn't get more surprised, he found himself slowly reaching his muscular arms around her shoulders. As the two embraced in the cold rain, he whispered, ''Elizaveta, why?'' She slowly looked up at him, and he couldn't tell if the water streaming down her face was rain or tears. She smiled as she rested her chin onto his neck and whispered into his ear, ''mert... szeretlek.'' His heart stopped. Gilbert Beilshmidt had been waiting all of his life to hear those exact words come from that exact mouth. She looked back up at the boy, then leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. The boys heart started beating again, very quickly. He kissed her back, for he could not resist the urge any longer. They separated, then it was Gilbert's turn to d what he had been wanting to do for as long as he could remember. As their lips met, Gilbert's insides did a happy dance. However, the two of them had to return to reality. She cried harder than she ever had in her life as she mounted her black horse and let go of Prussia's hand. Her horse started trotting away, then started into a canter, then a gallop. The two lovers held their intense gaze until they couldn't see each other any more. In Gilbert's mind, the girl's words echoed again and again in his mind- "mert szeretlek, mert szeretlek." He had imagined Hungary saying that all of his life, and now she had. "Because... I love you."
