So this little guy is a one shot for my OC Hadley and her older brother, the beloved Kol. I found it in a notebook and decided it would be perfect to post right now. I must first congratulate you on your little performance last night. Spectacular; I give you a ten for theatrics. Almost as good as the witches from New Orleans and we all know how they love to dramatize everything. It almost makes me feel like you have been holding out on me, but I know that you would never do such a thing— even if it was to protect the whole of humanity.
I apologize for the sudden departure but I have to leave. Mystic Falls is not safe for us while Niklaus finds it necessary to make enemies wherever he goes. I will miss the plethora of gorgeous women and the blindfold over the council's eyes to what really happens here. If you need me, I'm only a quick airplane ride away (though the idea of a flying metal bird still seems absurd to me). Talk to Nik; if he wants you to know where I am or the favor I'm granting him then he'll tell you. If he doesn't, then I'm sure that you— my mad, wonderful, stubborn little sister— will find a way to acquire the information.
Have our siblings blown into the wind yet? What are you planning? I suggest you leave as well, though I know you won't. You and Nik share bond to this place that I shall never understand. Guilt and grief go hand-in-hand, do they not?
Anyways, you are always welcome to come with me if you are crafty enough to uncover my whereabouts. You probably won't approve of my little errand but I must admit that having you along would make it much more enjoyable. You might even have some fun. Illicit fun, but that's the greatest fun of all is it not?
If you chose to stay in Mystic Falls, remember that danger comes from everywhere. Our mother is not yet vanquished and the locals will not lose hope on the destruction of our family. You may think they are your friends, Hadlien, but they will turn on you. And I never want to see you hurt, understand? The resulting mess would be quite bloody. Niklaus and Elijah would surely join in as well; Elijah because he's an over-bearing protector and Nik because he's a bloodthirsty bastard.
We've been on the run for centuries, Li, so I don't have to remind you that history has a tendency to repeat itself. Brothers fight, pretty faces are reborn and yet the only constant has been us, fleeing something we had no need to fear. Our father would have let us be if we had left Nik but still we stayed. Foolish loyalty if you ask me (but I may just be bitter about missing over a century of life. Bekah said it was the most exciting times too. Was it?)
These people are fighting a war against something that doesn't need to be fought against. It seems a bit pointless to me. Almost like the Revolutionary War, though this time they will not succeed in overthrowing the monarchy— not if I know our dear half-brother.
