Home, the spot of earth supremely blest,
A dearer, sweeter spot than all the rest.

Let's Go Home

A young man with dark, unruly black hair and a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead that made him famous, his green eyes reflecting a sense of peace, walked alongside a young woman with bushy brown hair tied into a ponytail, her brown eyes full of hope for the future as they walked slowly towards The Burrow. Both bore signs of an extremely recent battle with scratches and fresh wounds and with dried blood streaked across their clothes and arms and face.

It has been eight months since the last time they saw the Weasleys. Eight months without contact with the redhead family who sees them as two of their own. They had however kept tabs with what was happening with the family through other means and was grateful that no other misfortune had happened to them after they left. The last time they saw each other were at a funeral of a beloved family member of the redheads, a brother and a lover to both the young people respectively. They left two days after the funeral to continue with a hunt they had been assigned to take on two years prior. A hunt that had started out with three, then two. A hunt that is now finally over with the defeat of an evil dark lord only a couple of hours ago.

Harry Potter and Hermione Granger stopped at the run-downed front gate of the Burrow. From there, the Weasleys can be seen at the dining room having dinner. There were six adult redheads, an elderly woman, four young men and a young woman, along with another young woman who was blonde carrying a toddler, with a lighter shade of red hair than the other redheads, on her lap. The head of the family, Arthur was missing as he had passed on to the next great adventure with one of his sons, Bill, five months prior to Ronald Weasley's death, both leaving behind their wives and children. The remaining Weasleys were now talking and laughing animatedly like as if there was no darkness in the world, as if time has stopped itself just for them to be happy for a while.

They looked at each other, both wearing huge grins and weary smiles on their faces as they linked their hands together like brother and sister would.

As Harry unlocked the latch of the front gate, he said, "Let's go home!!"

Author's Note Reviews are appreciated. Just so you do not wonder as to why Hermione thinks the burrow is home, her parents had died earlier when they first started the hunt. The story was supposed to be longer, but I've got writer's block still.
