A lone room with lined with deep navy velvet consumes your vision. A chuckle echoes in the tiny box as a long-nosed man appears before you.
"It seems we have an rare encounter." The white, bushy eyebrow raises. "How interesting." White gloves sweep over the blue table, and a set of tarot cards shuffle.
"Do you believe in fortune telling?" Nine cards are pulled from the stack, and are arranged three by three.
Long fingers flip a couple, then place the rest back in the stack shuffling them once more. He deftly seizes the other two cards and adds them on the bottom. After splitting the stack into halves, he holds out one half.
"Go on, my dear." You take the top card, and a picture of a skull and the roman numeral thirteen is imprinted. If it was possible, his already wide eyes widen in interest.
"Death. How intriguing." He comments and holds out the second half. You flip over the top card again, and stare at a clock with an 'X' on the bottom. For a split second the man is alarmed, but quickly gains his composure as he explains the next one,
"Fortune. Quite the odd pair. It seems you're carrying a...burden of the sort." Settling the cards on top each other, the suited man whispers incomprehensible words as blue light illuminates the room. The light dims and a new card hovers in the air. Another chuckle escapes his mouth as he observes the blue card. He sweeps his hand the other way and the set of cards disintergrate into the air.
"Only fate could have shown us such rare wonders. You are a very special case." A snap echoes and this time a red card forms in contrast to the blue table.
"My name is Igor. It is a pleasure to meet you." He smiles and hands the red card over. The shiny paper feels warm... almost alive. His pointy ears slightly twitch as a bell shrills into the room.
"My apologies, but it seems I have a new guest to tend to. Margaret is quite uptight about keeping schedule." He chuckles again as he rest his chin over his hands. "It's a shame to have to leave such a rare case, but ahh what can you do? Be careful with the card you hold there. Some things are terribly fragile." He chuckles as he starts to fade. The blue room gradually blurs into the darkness as his last words echo into your ears.
"Till we meet again."
