Regrets. (School Live!)
Miki sometimes had one sided conversations with Kei.
Not the real Kei, of course. Her classmate was gone, now. And she had ended up with these other girls, fellow survivors. She wasn't sure what to make of them. Well, that was a lie. She thought the older girl, Rii, and Kurumi were both reliable, she felt. Yuki was at least somewhat delusional, though the other girls had that in hand. She hoped at least.
She thought of Kei a lot, when her guard was down. Eating a actual cooked meal, instead of survival rations. Showering. GODs, how she had missed showering. Even sleeping in relative peace, knowing they were safe.
And every time, she would remember Kei. And silently ask the ghost... why hadn't she waited? They had been SO close to rescue. So close to being found by the School Life club. But instead Kei had given in. Walked out to the zombies...
"Mi-kun! What are you doing?" Yuki barged in, the pink haired girl beaming at her cheerfully.
"Just thinking," Miki got up from the table, glad they weren't in one of the wrecked classrooms. They creeped her out a bit.
"Come back to the club room, we're having lunch," Yuki half dragged her forward.
"Stop pulling, Yuki-senpai," Miki complained.
"Oh, I love it when you call me senpai!" Yuki beamed.
Miki slapped at her, "Stop that it's creepy!"
"Meanie," Yuki laughed.
Mas Miki followed her, she felt a smile tugging at her face at the absurd actions of her 'senpai.' And as they walked she, just a little, left bitter memories behind.
End.
Notes: A short piece trying to get into Miki's head a little. I expect she's carrying at least some guilt over not stopping Kei from leaving, considering what happened.
