Author's Note: Random Retsu/Ran fanfic. Still my OTP, though I am not so crazy over this pairing now…It's so sad that they rarely have moments together…never mind, just enjoy.
When Retsu just became conscious after drinking all that sake earlier that day, he found himself back in SCRTC, in the Gekiranger's headquarter, lying on the sofa.
"How…did I get here?" He mumbled as he sat up. Looking around, he saw no one in the room. The Gekirangers were probably training, while Shafu and Miki went out to get dinner.
Just then, Ran walked into the room. Retsu was about to say hi to her, when he observed an uneasy look on her face.
"Erm…Retsu," Ran said nervously, "Just now…that Cherry…is she really just a friend?"
Retsu thought for a while, then replied, "Yeah, sort of. Why did you ask?"
"Because…she…umm…kissed you…" Ran blushed as she said that, and she turned her face away.
"So? Does that concern you?"
"Yes…I mean –"
"Is it because…you like me?" Retsu had a half-serious, half-cheeky look.
"N-no!" Ran quickly defended herself. "I'm going to train now. You…you better stay here and rest." Upon saying that, she shuffled out of the room, her ponytail swishing as she walked.
Retsu sighed and chuckled. "How cute, Ran…chan."
