Crossbow Chapter 1
A dim lit room reveals a young man and woman. The two sit across from each other in silence. A door open's and a slight crippled man walks over and sets a briefcase down on the table.
He snorts as he opens the case revealing stacks of money. "Alright you two here you are, thirty million."
The young man seemed displeased. "Thirty million? Mr. Cobblepot I believe you owe us a lot more than just this."
"Well I don't have it, be happy I'm giving you this." He gathered his things and prepared to leave.
The young woman blocks his way, Mr. Cobblepot turned and faced the young man.
The young man held a gun up to Mr. Cobblepot's head. "Now we're gonna do this again. Your gonna go back over there and your gonna count the money again. Ok Cobblepot, or should I say Penguin."
Cobblepot snorts at the man as he walks towards the table and pulls out more money and counts it.
Over in Gotham central Bruce Wayne was giving a speech announcing the grand opening of Arkham City.
"I'm proud to say that Arkham City will be a great investment and that I can assure Gotham's protection with it. Thank you." Bruce stepped down from the podium and dodged the reporters to get to his waiting limo. He got in and three kids sat inside. Bruce looked at them with confusion in his eyes. "Dick, Jace, Amanda. What are you guys doing here, wasn't Alfred supposed to take you three home today?"
"We wanted to see you're speech Uncle Bruce, so we asked to come here." Amanda Wayne was Bruce's niece, she was the daughter of his late sister Emilia Wayne who died eight years ago on Amanda's sixth birthday. Amanda is fourteen.
"There's no problem right." Dick Grayson was Bruce's adopted son, the two met after Bruce attended a show put on by the boys parents called the flying Grayson's. A tragic event caused both of Dick's parents to lose their lives during the performance and making him an orphan. Bruce took him in and has raised him ever since. Dick is sixteen.
"So is what you say true, will Arkham City will keep all those insane maniacs in." Jace Wayne was Bruce's other adopted son, one day when passing by the Gotham orphanage Bruce noticed all the kids playing and being given special treatment, all except for Jace. Knowing what it felt like to be alone Bruce adopted the young boy and gave him a home.
Bruce smiled at the three. "Yes you guy's I can assure you that it will. I've been working with the police and military personnel to build up the perfect defense against the mentally challenged inside. Now then all other questions aside let's go back home and have dinner."
They returned to Wayne Manor and had dinner, afterwards Bruce went to his office while Dick, Amanda, and Jace went and watched the news.
The anchorman was reporting breaking news, Oswald Cobblepot was turned into the authorities by two anonymous sources who stated he was hiding out in a hotel room. He will be being transported to Arkham City tonight.
Amanda looked displeased "Hmph. Why are there so many evil people in this world. Someone should do something."
