For Camp Potter - arts and crafts with the prompts: nowhere, heartbeat and fireflies (I used lightening bug because I'm American Southern, and that's what I know them as).
For Laura because it's been far too long since I wrote her anything.
.
He's a lightening bug,
forever |trapted| by a name that
doesn't define him.
And no matter how hard he tries,
he can't bre/ak free.
.
You are the darkness,
the monster in the night.
You are cursed to live by the cycles
of the moon,
to live in the shadows
of a life you so desperately want.
.
Then you see a flicker of light
amongst all the darkness,
and everything changes.
.
He f-f-flickers in time with
his heartbeat.
It's a beacon for you;
it's the light that you've been
craving to see.
(blink...blink...blink)
And you follow him without
a ((second)) thought.
.
He leads you nowhere and everywhere
all at once.
Together, you crash blindly against
the walls of your confinements,
hoping to smashcrushbreak them
(but you never do).
.
His f-f-flickering light loses strength
over time because the name that |trapts| him
end up suffocating him.
And you're left alone in the darkness
that you thought he might be able
to help you es...cape.
(But somehow, you know you were always
doomed
to have an unhappy ending).
A/n - So many thanks to Amber who assured me this was great, and Allie who gave me the pairing.
