Ironic

It's like a traffic jam when you're already late, a no smoking sign on the ciggarette plate. It's just a little ironic/ Just a little too ironic, - I really do think.

Kurosaki Ichigo was having a (surprisingly) normal day. He was at school again after the war, and sometimes a part of him wondered exactly how things could ever be normal again. For the whole of that morning, however, normal was exactly how things seemed. Maths had been annoying. So far, English had been boring.

And then the teacher had given him the part of Richard in Richard the Third to read. Some classes got Romeo and Juliet. Some got Macbeth. His class had Richard.

". . . a horse," he read aloud, not thinking at first. Then, looking at the line, he groaned. Damn life. He continued in a monotone. "a horse, my kingdom for a horse."

Some might wonder to themselves why he was even grouchier than usual. Some might have a vague, the vaguest of ideas. But only Ichigo heard the insane laughter in his head.

'You see, king? You do need me.'

Kurosaki Ichigo groaned again.

Oh, shut up.

My first drabble that actually fits said discription. Took me an hour to think it and write it and upload it ( I was doing other things as well.) Lyrics by Catatonia.
