"Randolph Kittridge was a great American. He deserves better than to spend eternity hanging by his ankles in a tub of nitrogen.
"Come on it was an act of love by his daughter. I mean what if your son…Your son…"
"Yes Nicholas."
"What if you son Nicholas preserved your body for the day where they came up with a cure for well, whatever killed you."
Cryogenics is pie in the sky science. My son knows better."
"I mean you'd be worth bringing back."
"I don't plan on dying."
After solving the Kittridge case, Alex and Bobby during their drive back to Rockaway had been pondering what Spencer Durning had said about cryogenics.
The two who had been living together for awhile now and were a week away from being united as one and this case got them thinking.
As soon as they both were in the door when Alex grabbed on to Bobby and wrapped her arms around his waist, embracing him.
When they finally came apart Bobby looked deeply into Alex's eyes and said, "I know you're thinking and you have my word that now and forever, we will always be together, even when we become spirits you and I will never be separated."
"So would you be willing to be cryogenically frozen and revived later on?"
"Despite what Durning said?"
"Yeah."
"Yeah I would. I mean what Durning said is just his opinion and we have ours."
With that Alex smiled the biggest smile Bobby had seen in recent weeks.
