Rei wasn't sure whether he had been hired to act as a manager, or to be Shougo's keeper. The boy was completely ridiculous and totally unapologetic – he managed to pick fights without even trying to, and was always bounding off in another direction before repercussions could even set in. He had too much energy and became fanatic about anything that caught his interest. Letting him go out alone could cause all kinds of problems, so Rei had been appointed his temporary babysitter.

It was a hot day, ridiculously so, and Shougo didn't even seem to feel it. Rei had been instructed to keep an eye on him, and as such was stuck following him from one location to another, trying to keep him out of trouble. It was quickly growing tiresome, and he wasn't sure if the job was worth it. He was sweating beneath the layers of his professional suit and his glasses kept sliding down his nose. It was humid and he was quickly growing impatient with his rambunctious charge.

"Can we please go home?" he asked for the hundredth time while Shougo swung around lamp posts and hoped from one spot to another impatiently.

"Not yet. We're having fun."

"You are having fun. I am not."

The blond pouted, not looking as he stepped out into the street, right into traffic.

Rei snapped forward, pulling him back before he could get hit by an oncoming vehicle. "It is hot and sticky, and I am too tired to babysit you today. We're going home."

Shougo didn't even blink, wrapping his arm through Rei's and guiding him down the street without missing a beat. "Not yet."

Rei tore his glasses from his face and gave the boy his most intimidating glare. "Home. Now." He demanded. Certainly, even Shougo would back down when confronted by his most terrifying look.

Finally, Shougo paused. His eyes widened and his jaw went slack before he beamed at Rei. "Wow! I never noticed before, but you're good-looking!" He pulled Rei closer and smacked their lips together without batting an eye lash. "I think I'll keep you."

"I'm not- I mean you can't- I want to go home!"

"Even you need a break sometimes. Come on. It'll be fun!"

Powerless to fight him any further, and uncertain how to manipulate him, Rei conceded. "Only if we can go somewhere with air conditioning," he bargained.
