Challenge 1: Quotation
"Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love." – Albert Einstein
After what just happened to Macy Misa, she thought otherwise.
She thought it was going to be another typical day at school; three classes, break, two more classes, lunch, last class, then sitting on the stairs while waiting for her friends to come out.
But of course, a twist of fate made Macy Misa the happiest girl alive.
It all started at the beginning of lunch at her locker with Stella.
"So I was thinking after school we could head out to the mall for ice cream to celebrate," Stella spoke.
"Celebrate what Stella," Macy questioned her best friend, organizing her locker after all her equipment fell out. Again.
"Celebrate the school week ending. We had a rough week this time around. Especially Nick with all the tests he had. I gotta go. Joe apparently spilled his slushie on his shirt and I have to clean it up before last period."
"Okay. See you Stella," she said, waving before searching for one last thing. A hockey stick.
'Where the heck did my hockey stick go,' Macy pondered. She knew if she didn't return it by sixth period, Coach Zara wouldn't let her join varsity next season.
Macy groaned in frustration as she scanned her locker and the floor. She grumbled a few words before slamming her locker shut and headed towards the stairs.
"Where the heck is my hockey stick!" She practically yelled it in the middle of the hall. Then, as if on cue, Kevin came down the stairs and tripped over a missing hockey stick, falling down the flight of stairs and landing on top of Macy. The two of them groaned as passing students stared at the odd duo.
"Hey Macy. I'm so sorry. I tripped over something and I should've watched where I was going. I was just heading off to lunch and..... so what's up," Kevin greeted and apologized at the same time, a sheepish grin on his face.
"Oh nothing. Just lying on the floor here in the hallway. With you. Talking. To you," she gushed.
"Your cheeks are turning pink," he observed, smirking a little.
"They are?" That made her blush even more.
Kevin smiled. "Don't worry. I think it adorable. I never noticed how beautiful your brown eyes were."
"Thanks," she gushed, "Your eyes are very pretty too."
"Thanks."
They both stayed in their positions, looking at each others eyes. "Maybe we should get up now," Macy suggested.
"We should," Kevin agreed.
Kevin got up first and lent a hand to Macy as she got up. They brushed off their uniforms and grabbed their belongings. "I believe this belongs to you," Kevin said, handing her the hockey stick. "Now I have to ask you something."
Macy smiled and nodded her head.
"After that little fall, how about this tomorrow I treat you to a walk in the park?"
"Sounds great Kevin. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to return this stick back to Coach Z." She mentioned, gesturing to the stick.
"Okay. Catch you after school Macy," he replied, then made his way down to the cafeteria.
Macy sighed as she walked towards the gym. Falling down has never been so beautiful.
So what do ya think? Took me a few hours to write. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading.
