Breathless
He thought about how she pronounced his name. Hee'ro. How she rolled the 'r'. How she did it so that it drove him wild. Never fulfilled, she kept something from him. She said she loved him, but Midii was holding something from his reach. He thought about - her. Everything about her. Each event that had been 'a first time'. Her curves. Her breath. Her voice. Her presence. It was intoxicating. Or maybe that was just the alcohol. He smiled. No one knew. Everyone suspected that he was with Relena. She had been good, but there was something that Midii had that she lacked. Maybe it was that Midii didn't relentlessly pursue him. He advanced, and he liked that. Heero constantly found his thoughts diverted to his lover. Like now. Familiar wisps of blonde hair floated into his office as she ran by at flank speed. "Midii!" he yelled. She ran back and leaned on his doorjamb as she put her shoes back on. "Yeah?" she asked, breathless. "Nothing," he said with a laugh.
He was up to something. She could feel it. She smiled. Midii wasn't used to this - being in a relationship like this. She walked around his desk and kissed him, then sat facing him on his big mahogany desk. "We're supposed to have a professional relationship," she said. "You shouldn't have a problem with breaking rules." "We leave for Trinidad-" "Tobago," he interjected. "Whatever. We leave in two days." "No one knows," he said forcefully. She nodded. Midii got up and walked to the door. Just as she turned to say good-bye he closed the door. He then pressed her into the wall. He advanced. He pressed her lips into hers. She couldn't feel anything but him. Her shirt fell to the floor, zippers sounded. Just then Duo barreled into the small office. He froze, wide-eyed. Midii saw him and tried to get Heero off of her. "What? What did I do?" he inquired, confused. She wiped her mouth and pointed over his shoulder as she tried to get dressed again, as fast as she could. "Duo! What the hell?" "Damn, Heero." "I'm going home," Midii said. She was gone before Heero could react.

"Screwing the hacker?" Duo asked, completely shocked. "Duo, it's none of your-" "You can't compromise any of this." "I won't," Heero said, leaving. Duo knew he meant business. Heero's emotions were ambivalent at best. He could wreck all of this if he wasn't careful. Heero never was careful.

She was a partner and nothing else, or at least that was what she was supposed to be. Sitting there, sweating, legs askew, with a chilled bottle of wine; she was much, much more. He wondered why she even bothered with wearing the shirt - he had seen what was beneath and he could pretty much do so now. She nimbly undid another button, hitting her bare collarbones with the bottle. Rhythmic taps with the half-empty glass bottle, it was the only thing keeping him sane. It was also driving him to the point of psychosis. He stood in the dark, but she was near the window, illuminated by the moonlight. Her pale bangs stuck to her forehead. The wall provided a way to get the hair off her back, but she frequently pushed away the hair framing her childlike face. He studied her, not looking but not watching. She barely looked at him. "Heero?" she asked, letting her tongue hit the accents. "What?" "When do we leave?" "In a while, Midii. In a while," he said, disinterested. "If you're bored go find someone else to bother." "Do I bother you?" she asked, getting up and approaching him. She took a fistful of his shirt and pressed into his body. She went for the kiss, but he ended it. "I'm taking a shower." "Au Revior," she heard from the bathroom. "Aishiteru."
