I've always known Kate, and her, uh, ways, but seriously, have two freaks stalk her all day wasn't part of it. Kate was a good person, there was no need for Kellyn and Keith to follow her around all day!

Name's Solana. Kate and I were thrown into Mr. Hayate's Spanish class. And we have all the same classes. Thank god for Science, our only period without those two, it was counted as a break to me and Kate.

"Hey, guys, can you please leave her alone? She really wants a break from you," I watched their facial expressions go harsh. "Don't tell us what to do!" I retreated. "Well I'm Kate's best friend so I know your just jealous!" I ran right out of the classroom, speeding away from them. Turns out, I left Kate behind.

I'm so not going back in there… I thought to myself. I had to get her out, though… The perfect person… That's right! Summer!

"Summer!" I shouted down the hallway, praying the thirteen-year-old brunette would hear me. "Yeah?" She replied. Thank goodness for her fantastic hearing. She aced the medical tests at the nurse's.

"C-Can you go in the Spanish Room and get Kate? The boys won't leave her alone." Her boldness stood out when she replied. "Yeah. I'll be back in a few."

I sighed and leaned on her locker. This was going to be a really, really long day.

Two hours later, in Science, where the freaks wouldn't find us, I ripped out a piece of paper and doodled. I was a fantastic artist, everyone said so. Plus, everyone would watch me draw. I hated it when people did this, but one person didn't bother me…. As much.

"You're a great artist," Lunick whispered to me every now and then. I almost couldn't believe it when he took out a pencil and started to draw with me. "You are too," I replied, wanting to be nice but ending up telling the truth. He was great, even better than me probably! He was officially the only person in this school who didn't annoy me at all. Actually, I enjoyed having someone who actually understood my life. Turns out, we had a lot of things in common. Every Science class was enjoyable when he wasn't sick. Except for that time, it was really embarrassing, when the teacher noticed us drawing together. She stood up and asked us if we were writing love notes to each other in class. We both replied with a stuttering "no" but the class would bother us every now and then.

The only day that bothered me a lot is when he came in that day on crutches. He told me that he had gotten into a fight with the other kids in our class. I felt horrible about it, because it was basically because of me. And we all knew it was that bully, Garret.

Everyone thought he was a wimp for having lost. I thought he was a hero to have lived.
