When it's victory or oblivion, it's hard to choose. Especially now, when there's no turning back. At some point or another, you'll look back and wonder if you made the right choice.
Every decision leads you to doors. Each door is an option. Walk through one of the doors, and you'll eventually be faced with a new set of doors. But after walking through, you cannot return. You never get the chance to change that decision.
But when your choices, your doors, are victory and oblivion, you often don't get to choose. You walk through a door blindly, hoping you picked the right one.
If you, by chance, pick victory, you still have the option of
oblivion. Oblivion can never be avoided.
But if you accidentally stumble through the door to oblivion, there are no other options. You have no choices. You reach oblivion and are no more.
Because Death is waiting for you in oblivion.
