What I See The World As
So much violence and terrible things go on
So many people turned hashtags
government is going off the bend and loosing their heads
on and on these things go, no one ever getting anywhere
what we thought a more civilized a society
is really just the same with new tricks up their sleeves
refugees not getting help they deserve
we try to better the society
pointing out things that are wrong
things that offend you
you are wrong for doing that
how dare you
we can't express ourselves in this society
who feel compelled to tell us how to live, act, and feel
it really is scary because when I grow up
recovery is slow
loving life will be fast
I think life is fleeting and beautiful
quite a contrast to how I just described it
but even if this world is turning to crap
we should all love it
change will come
I thought that I would never get better
but it is
justice will come in time to those who need it
lets just remember…
the good things
like candy
warm things
cool things
technology that helps us meet new people and reconnect
books that are old
books that are new
that someone or something that is waiting for you
clean windows
freshly cut grass
a pretty new dress
puppies and cats
lots of good things that make people smile
feel good stories and funny news fails
taking walks in the nice summer or spring
sometimes maybe just staying in
new artists getting the attention they crave and need
people getting jobs is also a good thing
The world is beautiful and complex and we'll never understand
the purpose we have or the change and impact we'll have
it really is great to think that I'll be happy
people will get justice
and love will exist for ever and even after were all gone
we will have a legacy
all the good
all the bad
everything
