After the last Diagnosis Murder movie I always thought there should be a conversation between Mark and Steve. Just a short conversation.

A few days later after things had settled down and both Mark and Steve had an evening off together, they sat on the deck watching the sun set. Mark asked, "Where's Ellen tonight?'

Steve replied, " She's following up on a story' she's getting it ready to publish, she has to have it in by midnight."

"Anything about your cases?"

" Not this time."

"Dad'" Steve begins, "I'm so happy and I'm finally getting married, I know it took a while but I've found the right one."

"Son, I'm glad you're happy."

"I was always afraid, being a cop, well a lot of women can't handle being a cops wife and I've seen so many of my friends on the force have their marriages break up. It sounds funny being a cop and saying I'm afraid of marriage where I face criminals everyday."

"Son, marriage is hard work, it can be scary, hard and well worth it all at once. but if you always make Ellen feel special and don't shut her out when you're on a tough case it will work. Ellen's got a lot of spunk and that's what you need."

"Thanks Dad"

"Anytime son, anytime son."
