My life is never easy, with me being vampire and all. Usually people are always trying to kill me…physically, but what happens next might just kill me emotionally.

"Vlad, what's wrong?" Snow asked. Snow is my current girlfriend, ever since my ex-girlfriend Meredith slapped me at the Snow Ball.

"Huh? Oh nothing, I'm just thinking." I replied.

"Oh thinking…about what?" She continued raising an eyebrow.

"To be completely honest, I was thinking of you…." I said looking down, yet Snow smiled "being my drudge and only my drudge. Wait, no not even that! I can't have you being my drudge any longer."

Her smile slowly turned into a frown. "What?" she asked on the verge of tears.

"Look Snow, I really like you…a lot, but the only thing keeping me here is your blood and I think you deserve someone better than me." I said

"Okay, I understand." She replied through soft sobs.

Hmmm. I know what I need to do so she can be happy and move on. I need to…to release her. I need to let her go. I need to be Vladimir Tod, the normal vampire who drinks from blood bags! Not Vladimir Tod, the monster…but I am a monster, since I let this go on for so long! I took a step toward Snow, and leaned down to kiss her once more.

"I'm so sorry, Snow. I swear I will never hurt you again." I said, before I bit down on her neck and resisted the urge to drink. It wasn't easy, but I was able to remain in control. After a moment I released her, she fell to the ground, and it literally took everything in my power to just turn around and walk away.

"Goodbye Snow." I said without looking at her.

"I love you, Vladimir Tod." She replied in a very faint whisper.

Last week, Otis was cleared of all charges against him, but D'Ablo only used Otis to get to me. I mean seriously this guy should pick on someone his own age, I think I get picked on enough from the school bullies. Well, anyway this week is my trial, which I will most likely be sentenced to death. So I told everyone goodbye, even Meredith, of course I didn't tell Snow though since I knew she would probably get jealous.

"Vladimir?" Otis said. I looked up at him

"Are you ready?" he said in my head.

"Not even a little, are you going to tell Nelly that I might not come back?" I asked

"I don't want to, but Vlad don't worry about a thing, Dorian is trying everything within his power to protect you." Otis nodded reassuringly.

"Alright, Let me just say goodbye to Henry. I'll be back in fifteen minutes." I replied

"Nelly! I'm going to Henry's be back in a bit!" I called out to her.

The walk to Henry's wasn't far since we moved back into my old house. I wasn't entirely ready to move back in, but I need to move on. Apparently no one was home at Henry's house, but I knew better so I walked up to the door, and before I knocked I noticed that the door was already open.

"Henry!" I called out. No reply came. I ran up the stairs two at a time. I stopped right in front of Henry's door, when I heard giggling. I knew that sound of laughter. This can't be happening! Henry wouldn't do that to me, but I needed to be sure! Without another thought I flung the door open.

"Vlad!" Both voices came at once.

"Meredith! Henry! What the hell is going on?" I said as anger rushed through me.
