Silence

"Guess what? I-" Duo's voice sounded through the hangar; his rambling a never-ending cycle.

"Duo, shut up," Heero said sharply.

The lives I destroyed. The blood I shed. It didn't matter to me, as long as the job was done. But something bothered me; the silence.

The silence. It was as if the only sound you could hear was my lonely heartbeat. It scared me. It scared me to death.

"Heero, do you really want me to shut up?" Duo said, his face leaning on his hand. He smiled.

Heero sighed and closed his eyes, "No."
