16 year old Dawn sat in her room finishing the song she was giving to Buffy. No one would be home for another hour and by then she would be gone. Dawn grabbed her last bag and brought it down stairs. Leaving the tape with a little card that said to Buffy she took one last look at her home. Dawn grabbed her bag walked out side seeing Spike standing by the De Soto. "You ready Bit'?" "As I'll ever be" and with that they got in the car and were off into the night.
Buffy walked into a dark house "Dawn" she walks in the living room "Dawn" Buffy looks down and notices the paper and tape. She walks over to the stereo and pops in the tape. Buffy recognized the voice immediately. "Dawn" Buffy whispered softly.

Buffy sat on the floor crying. Knowing she wouldn't see Dawn again. Buffy sat like that for hours before realizing that there was no way Dawn could leave by her self. Buffy raced over to Spikes crypt to find his car missing and all his stuff gone. "SPIKE!!!"
