Monochrome

"You have something to say, Soundwave?"

Soundwave knew that it would be too easy to simply speak – he could speak, but he had chosen not to. He had no use for the uselessness of what was called emotion. Emotions were unnecessary, as they got in the way of completing a mission and it was not of what the Decepticons stood by. Even if they were to be called monsters by the other races, it was not of their concern.

….And certainly not his concern….

But the phrase was still degrading. It implied so many things, so many false things among the true statement.

"Step aside."

Because he chose not to say anything, as his post was by Lord Megatron, as the eyes and ears of the faction, and to let ambition and emotion block the way of conquest was not just.

Their individual lives were nothing.

To him, Airachnid should have known better not to let her ambition get in the way, where any opportunistic possibility would simply be tossed aside, where everything would be blurred and where everything would shift into chaos.

When he would not stand aside, this lit the flame inside Airachnid's cursed spark that exposed her childish lack of self-control. Anyone stood in her way would end up dead, if she had her way.

Soundwave was amused by her, as her attempt to usurp Megatron's rightful place was thwarted by his unyielding stance. Words like that meant nothing to him if he didn't stop to think about it.

Loyalty was the only way, and emotions and ambition would only lead one to their downfall, and monochrome would become multi-colored. It would mean change.

It would be the only way to say….drag me down.
