Bella p.o.v
I'm scared. And I haven't been scared in a long time. All my family is in danger. The reaping is today. Everything went really bad after America turned into Panem. Of course we have a slight advantage, being vampires and all but it is still frightening.
So lost in thought I didn't realise that Edward and just walked in, his face full of worry. As he saw he and came up to me and gave me hug.
"It's going to be okay," he said.
"I know, I'm just worried for our family. Renesmee the most."
"I know I'm worried too" and he bend down and kissed me.
Just then Alice walked in. "It's time to leave." she said. And we walked out the room.
When we walked in the living room Renesmee jumped at me.
"Hello, honey." I said, and she smiled. This year she was old enough to be in the reaping.
We all walked to the town square of District 12 together. I held Edwards hand, while he carried renesmee. When we got there we all took our places. I was standing next to Alice. I looked over at where Edward was, when he saw me he smiled, I smiled a fake smile back. Then I heard someone's voice boom through the speakers.
Effie, our escort for District 12 said, "Welcome, welcome to the 74th hunger games. And may the odds be ever in your favour!" in a cheery voice, how could she be so happy?
"Now, ladies first." and she walked over to the ladies bowl and placed her hand in. I held me breath. Please don't be her. Please don't be her. Please don't be her. I was thinking over and over in my head. When Effie called the name.
"Renesmee Cullen."
NO NO NO No no no no no this can't be happening. My little baby is going into the arena. Or...
"Bella, no." Alice whispered down my ear. I didn't even listen to her.
"I VOLUNTEER, I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!" I screamed and started pushing people out of my way to get through. I had to remember to go at human speed.
When I got to her I gave her a big hug and jasper carried he away. She screamed
"NO MUMMY, NOO!"
It broke my heart.
When I walked up to the stage I turned around and saw Edward staring at me. It looked like he was about the cry, but I know that can't happen. I feel like I might brake down, but I won't. I have to stay strong. I snap out of it when I realize Effie I speaking to me.
"And you are?" she asked
"Bella Cullen." I said.
"Well I bet my buttons that was your."
"Daughter." I cut her off. She carried on with the boys now.
"Now the boys tribute is … Emmett Cullen."
NO no no no. I can't kill my brother. That's when I hear Rosalie cry out.
But then I hear Edward call out. "I volunteer." and he walks up on to the stage.
No how could he be doing this, leaving Renesmee without a parent. Only one comes out. We both turn to look at each other. I know why he volunteered because he couldn't life with me. I see it in his eyes and I know he will do everything in his power to try and get us both out. But I don't think it will be enough.
