He would always dream
of visiting every single planet in the galaxy
of freeing his mother
of falling in love
with an angel from the Moons of Iego.
He would look up
just as the two suns finished setting
and dream of a destiny greater than slavery.
When they came,
he went.
He left behind another path of life
to pursue the first part of his destiny.
He trained, and learned,
and fought for freedom,
visiting countless planets in the galaxy.
He fulfilled the third part of his dreams
when he secretly married
the only angel he'd ever know.
He never achieved the second.
But they lived,
and continued to chase their future.
I like to think that they died together.
I like to think that he died
when I killed him
because he wasn't strong enough.
His dreams and the man that dreamed them
are gone just like her.
Just a forgotten memory.
But even when I am looking out the window
at a galaxy where stars can die,
where wishes destroy
and where dead angels don't fly-
I can't help but dream too.
