With his hand on Lucille's waist, Kohaku groaned, protesting against Lucille's persistence in teaching the members of the orchestra how to dance- more specifically Celes and Kohaku, since Gwindel did have prior dance experience, though it was rusty.
Much to the attest of both Lucille and Kohaku, Celes was practicing with the cellist, while Lucille practiced with Kohaku.
They were in an open field, far from any Guignol that could potentially harm them. They were on their way to yet another mission, but with Lucille's demanding personality and inability to get something off his mind until he had done it caused them stop in the middle of the afternoon to satisfy the singer.
Celes was learning quickly at the hands of Gwindel, who was a little too close to the girl for Lucille's comfort. Lately the two seems to be getting old close, considering there was barely conversation between them before.
Lucille imagined this going a little more his way. HE could teach Celes to dance and sweep her off her feet with his natural skill. Instead he was holding hands with a temperamental violinist with terrible coffee breath. Not to mention his two left feet.
"Jesus christ, Lucille. Stop trying to trip me." Kohaku regain his balance, pulling himself closer to the singer.
"If you would simply do as I say for once-"
"I'm doing exactly what you fuckin' say, but you're changing the choreography on me every time."
Lucille shook his head, squeezing the other's shoulder. "I'm not responsible for your inability to follow simple directions.
Both Celes and Gwindel stopped without pulling away from each other to watch the two argue.
"There's such a strong sexual tension between the two them, I swear."
Celes giggled a bit. "It's sad, really."
"Just keep your back straight, Kohaku. It's simple."
"It's straight, you moron."
"Then why are you slouched?"
"I'm not!"
"Maybe this would be a little easier if you had something to dance to," Celes interrupted, finally pulling away from Gwindel.
They had all been practicing to their own beat, but maybe Kohaku would be able to practice better with a song in the background.
Celes ran to the back of the hearse and swung the doors open. She could play the piano just a bit maybe, until the Guignols were attracted to the sound.
Gwindel jumped in with her, leaning on the piano to watch her play.
Lucille huffed, feeling a wave of jealousy roll over him. He should be dancing with Celes. He was supposed to be wooing her. Not Kohaku.
As the sound drifted out of the car, Lucille glared at Kohaku. "Hold my waist firmly."
Kohaku, dug his nails into Lucille's back, causing the singer's lip to twitch.
"Keep my hand in yours."
He grabbed his hand tighter.
"Move your foot to the left and follow the steps I have taught you."
Quickly, Kohaku brought Lucille in step with a speed he didn't expect.
The look on the violinist's face was snide as he brought Lucille in closer to him, their chests together and their faces close. Lucille kept his expression blank, though he was curious as to where Kohaku was going with this.
The two danced close, perfectly in step. The music must have helped, considering Lucille's foot had yet to be stepped on.
"You're finally getting it."
"You're not much of a teacher."
Lucille smirked, moving his face a tad closer to Kohaku's. "That's a little rude, isn't it?"
Kohaku nearly laughed.
"See what I mean?" Gwidel said to Celes, who was looking to the keys.
She glanced over to the boys dancing closely together, glaring at each other. She smiled. "It keeps Lucille away from me, right?"
Gwindel smiled at the girl. She was sweet but feisty. He liked her.
The boys continued to dance, trying to outdo the other while Celes continued to play. The subtle noise of the Guignol rang in the background, but for these next few moments, all would be absolutely normal.
