"Let me explain." Emily's face had no colour.
"G-g-go ahead, Ali." Emily barely squeaks out.
"It started years ago, there were two twins, both equally adorable, but very, very different, they're names were Courtney and Alison. Now, Alison was bossy, mean and wanted everyone to adore her and Courtney, well, she wasn't as demanding, she was very obedient and well behaved. Despite their differences they were best friends until one day Alison noticed something different. People treated her and her sister differently, Courtney made more friends, got better grades got more Valentines, this bothered Alison very much since she loved being a star." I look at Emily making sure she was taking this in the right way.
"Y-y-you're Ali." She stammers.
"Shhh! It's impolite to interrupt someone during their story. Anyway, so Alison did what she did best, she plotted. She thought of how she would rebecome everyone's favourite, so she started bossing Courtney around and found out all her secrets and threatened to tell unless she pretended to be her. So Courtney did as she was told and her parents started worrying but one day, Alison made Courtney attack her."
I watch Emily's facial expression as I pause for a breath, then spy a figure in the distance.
"Don't say anything about me." I warn her then pull my red hood up and run.
I hope she stays quiet, telling her about me was a big risk, was it worth it? yet better have been or we'd both be dead.
