"Hey, Nat-chan? What do you want for Christmas?" the blue-haired Zero asked his fighter.
"Oh, you don't have to get me anything..." Natsuo turned the page of his latest gamers' magazine, all too careful not to get it into the soapy bath water. He remembered all too well how it had happened...
It was just last year, the city surrounded by snow, Christmas carols, and bright lights. At least, that's what they saw on the tv. Since Nagisa-sensei had been randomly 'disappearing,' the two zeros had a little more leeway in the matter of what they did in their spare time. Natsuo had, believe it or not, become even more obsessed with video games of all sorts and was more than likely to be seen playing them. Nonstop. Youji on the other hand, enjoyed watching his red-haired fighter unit try...and fail at beating the incredibly easy bosses. Inevitably, the two boys grew closer, if even possible. And by closer, taking their baths together.
Normally, Nagisa-sensei wouldn't even let them brush their teeth together. Something about, 'If you two get too close and take each other's ears, you won't be nearly as cute.' So, now with Nagisa-sensei disappearing more often, they had this freedom.
One evening the two were taking their bath, as per usual, and Natsuo was reading the gaming magazine he had just been given by Ai and Midori. Youji got one too, he just didn't feel the need to read it while in the bath. As Natsuo flipped through the pages reading the articles carefully for the hundredth time, Youji poked at his shoulder with his foot. "Ne, Nat-chan, stop reading in the bath."
"But this is interesting! It's got all the cheats for the bosses that I can't beat!" Natsuo said enthusiastically, waving the magazine around a little.
"But, Nat-chan, you've read it enough to have the entire thing memorized."
"I know..." Natsuo lowered himself further into the bath and closed his one visible eye, not noticing that the magazine was half-way into the water. Youji noticed this all too soon, not doing a single thing about it. He wanted non-magazine bath time with Natsuo, dangit! And if this wasn't gonna stop his magazine reading in the bath, then nothing would.
After several minutes of half the magazine's ink mixing into the water, Youji decided that he didn't want to turn ink-colored. "Hey, Nat-chan. Your magazine's in the water."
Looking down, he gasped and tore the magazine out of the water. "My Magazine! My Gamer's+ magazine!" He threw the magazine to the ground, scooting over to Youji. "Now my magazine's gone...Now what am I gonna read?"
"I dunno. But ya think we should get out of the bath before we turn all ink-like? Seeing as your magazine...leaked?"
Natsuo looked down, nodding in defeat. "Let's go..."
Natsuo put his latest magazine on the floor of the bathroom and scooted over to Youji. "What about you? What do you want for Christmas?"
"What're you talkin' about? I got all I could ever want right here..." Youji wrapped his arms around Natsuo, burying his nose into his fighter's hair.
"Me too..."
