the Burners minus Chuck were all sitting around their HQ, Dutch was trying and failing to teach Texas how to play chess, Julie was surfing the web for cute cat pictures and Mike was messing with the old radio Jacob had found. "You know there s no way you're going to find anything on there" said Julie looking at Mike "No ones used radios in years"
"You never know" Jacob said walking past "You just might be surprised" a few minutes latter as if the gods of music where agreeing with Jacob Mike stumbled upon a station. A sweet melody filled the room "Man I can't believe you actually found a station" said Dutch abandoning his attempt to do the impossible, Julie closed her screens and even Texas stopped making the nights fight each other to listen. Drum beats mixed with notes from an electric ponio to make a fast paced beat, the Burner's jaws dropped when the unmistakable voice of their program began to sing

'We march all around til' the sun goes down night children Broken dreams, no sunshine, endless crimes, we long for freedom (for freedom)
You're free but in your mind, your freedom's in a bind'

They had all heard Chuck sing on occasion but they had never heard him sing with so much confidence

'And when the world just treats you wrong just come with me and I'll take you home No need to pack a bag Who put your life in the danger zone? You running dropping like a rolling stone No need to pack a bag You just can't stop your hurt from hanging on The old man dies and then a baby's born Chan, chan, chan, change your life And when the world just treats you wrong just come with me and i'll take you home Shan, shan shan shan-gri la Na na na na na na na na na na na'

a deep female voice flowed from the speakers as the song wound down "That was many moons being performed by Motorcitys own motormusicians and to all you up there in Deluxe remember live fast and live free. and heres to the Duke of detroit for all his help in getting us on the air, down here and up there, now here s Feel Good inc by the Gorillaz"
a few hours and many songs latter Chuck walked into the HQ and was promptly bombarded with questions by his fellow Burners "You re in a band?"
"How come you never told us"
"You can sing!" Chuck flinched back bringing up his hands in a defensive position "What what what?" he questioned. Mike pushed the others back a little to give him some room before answering "The Radio station" he gestured at the radio which at the moment was playing Of Monsters and Men Your Bones.
"O-oh you guys heard that huh" he mumbled "What is it?" asked Dutch "Well I'm not really supposed to tell you but I guess I mean you can't tell anyone else"
"Yeah yeah just get to the part where you tell us" Texas said leaning forward. Chuck looked at Mike and they had a silent best bros conversation before Chuck continued "Before the Burners me and a few other people started a radio station that we broadcast up in Deluxe, little rebellious ya know" he finished rubbing his neck. Mike smiled "It's a good idea"
"Yeah" said Julie Dutch and Texas nodded "heh" was Chucks reply
