A Mini Us
Kate had spent hours pondering how to tell her husband that she was pregnant, wanting this moment to be perfect, but all her plans went down the drain when she couldn't control herself and blurted out: "I'm pregnant, Rick."
He blinked a few times while staring at her, completely taken by surprise, and she shifted from one foot onto the other, not quite sure what to do or say now – she wished she'd prepared him at least a little for these news. However, only a moment later his face lit up and he smiled happily, pulling her into his arms.
"Really? We're having a mini us?" he whispered into her ear, excitement and a trace of positive disbelief mingling in his voice, and Kate chuckled softly, placing a kiss on his cheek.
"Yes," she said, squeaking when Rick lifted her off her feet a second later and whirled her around before realising that he had to be a bit more careful with her from now on.
