Elijah's fingers strung her dark curls, twisting it around his fingers as she flipped through the pages of a modern novel. His eyes scanned the back of her neck, her throat, and finally to the crook of her arm. He smirked at her skin; so pale and delicate.

"I don't quite understand this series…" She murmured. "Although the idea of this Edward character is charming…it's not realistic."

Elijah hummed as a reply.

"Sparkling in the sunlight? He's a vampire, not a pixie." She sighed as Elijah smirked to himself silently, listening as she continued her rant. "It's not enough that this author places Isabella in a strange state, she makes her completely fragile…" Elizabeth shook her head as Elijah's hands slid down her thighs. "She's extremely co-dependent."

Elijah rolled his eyes playfully, his lips at her ear. "If I remember correctly, you were once as well."

Elizabeth frowned while scanning the paragraphs of the paperback. "Yes and I now realize how pathetic I was making myself out to be."

Elijah grinned, his hands still traveling up and down her torso before Elizabeth sighed, her eyes rolling in the back of her head; she growled teasingly, taking his hands and locking them in place before twisting in his grasp to where she was straddling his lap; her young, precious face inches from his.

"You liked me vunerable, didn't you?" She raised a thick, well shaped, eyebrow as Elijah freed his hand to run it down her cheek.

"I did," He replied, contented. "And I still do."

"I did," She giggled, in a mocking voice. She pressed her lips against his, her mouth dancing against his own.

Elijah pushed her down against Klaus's couch before smiling widely in the middle of their kiss, peppering her face with his lips. She squealed, shrieking with musical laughter as she slammed the copy of Twilight against his chest.

"Alright, kids…" A male voice chuckled.

Elizabeth, startled, glanced up behind the couch to find Klaus standing in the foyer with the girl he was currently seeing; Iris. Elizabeth smiled at him, knowing his tender affection towards her; the one that grew stronger every day. Yet despite Elizabeth and Klaus's differences, pasts and morals, she respected love and the story it held with each being.

"Don't break my home when I'm gone," Klaus winked in Elijah's direction.

Iris smiled at Elizabeth. "Elijah, be careful with her. She's delicate, don't you know?"

Elijah stared at Elizabeth as his expression formed into a sarcastic narrowing of the eyes and raising of the brows. Elizabeth giggled, slapping him with the paperback once more. "I wouldn't call this delicate." He teased, smirking at her. Elizabeth rolled her eyes, softly grinning in response.

Iris and Klaus's laughter echoed throughout the foyer.

"All the same," Iris smirked. "She's still a sixteen year lady."

Elizabeth sparkled at Iris, her respect growing. She could feel Elijah's gaze against her, grazing in such a way that seemed lustful. With a wave of Klaus's hand, the couple exited the house.

"You are such a jerk," Elizabeth teased, standing. She stretched her small body as if she were reaching towards the ceiling before turning her chin to smirk at Elijah.

"Asshole…" She muttered teasingly, sauntering away.

Elijah began to chase her down the hall, shrieks of laughter narrowing his path.
