Gordon Freeman was walking around the White Forest, doing nothing, when suddenly Kleiner calls him.
"Gordon, we need your assistance here at silo number 5"
Gordon then walks to the silo. When he arrived at the silo, suddenly Dr. Mossman said,
"Gordon, let me present you, the newest and freshest reactor core installation"
"Isn't that…."
"Yes, I do know what you are thinking. We reverse-engineered this from the Citadel core, doing some modifications to make it more safer, have some self-regulating properties, and make it smaller. And we directly connect this to a pulse cannon located just above this silo. Now let we go to the control room"
Then Dr. Kleiner replied,
"Gordon Freeman, can you please go inside that silo and shoot several energy balls from your AR2 to start the reactor?"
"Why me?"
"Gordon, you know that this reactor created a lot of radiation, and you have the HEV suit. Now please shoot that ball and let us do the rest"
Then Gordon walks inside the silo and shoot an energy ball from his pulse rifle to the reactor core.
"Detecting dark energy inside the core, injecting zero-point energy now"
A gravity gun like cannon shoots a beam of energy to the core. Strangely, the energy ball doesn't move.
"Increasing zero point field injector to 120%"
"Any resonance cascade?"
"The sensors detected a low influx of dark energy"
"Power up the xenium resonator now"
A yellow beam suddenly fires from other cannon.
"Resonance are increasing… 10%, 20%, small resonance cascading are happening… Powering up secondary containment shield now!"
"Now we have a free source of energy now!"
Back to White Forest base…
"There is an anomaly at teleporter sir"
Suddenly the teleporter start spinning itself
"There is something from another universe connecting to this teleporter"
And then, a green creature with a bone headdress with a spear comes from the teleporter
"Where am I?"
"Show me your hand!" Barney aims his crossbow to the creature.
"Are you from Combine?"
"No. In fact, our world ever been invaded by the Combine."
"For our safety, unfortunately we need to confiscate your weapon and handcuff you."
