I do not own Madoka Magica, I own only my OC

Enjoy!

Rika stumbled forward, toward the large fountain in the middle of the park. Where she had first met her now deceased girlfriend.

Anyone who didn't know her would've assumed intoxication. She mumbled to herself and her movements were unbalanced as she swayed with her walk.

"Shit." She cursed as she stumbled over a crack in the pavement.

She shakily stood up, seeing a small white bunny-cat perched on the edge of the fountain.

Rika held out her palm, allowing her ring to turn into a fragile crystal egg in the palm of her hand. The egg gave off a faint lavender glow.

"I'm grateful Kyubey. I really am. You gave me my brother back. I met Mami because of you, and fighting witches was well worth that." Rika paused. Taking a moment to regain her composure as her emotions were starting to over take her speech.

"But I can't become a witch for you. I can't hurt people for you." She paused again, taking a deep breath. As if preparing herself for what she was about to do.

"If... If I die... Does my wish dissipate?"

"No. The effects of your wish will remain."

A small smile spread across Rika's dry, cracked lips.

"Thank you." She replied, a tear falling down her face.

She knew how few magical girls had thanked Kyubey in the past. Especially not after learning the truth behind the incubator's plans.

But, no matter what his plans were, Rika was grateful. He had given her four more years with her little brother. And four wonderful years with Mami Tomoe. And that's all that mattered.

"Thank you Kyubey." She smiled at the creature one last time before raising her hand and throwing the delicate gem at the ground with all the strength she could muster. Watching it shatter into a thousand small pieces before everything went black and her soulless vessel fell to the ground, limp and lifeless.

Someone nearby shouted out to the purple-haired teen. Demanding to know if she was alright. Yanking her body up and screaming for someone to call an ambulance.

The incubator, still perched on the fountain, sighed.

"A shame." It whispered before leaping off the fountain and making its exit. Only minutes before an ambulance arrived.
