I told you I wasn't completely disappearing! This is really short but it came very naturally and I felt like somehow I had to put my feelings into words- my frustration with their stupidity. Do these feelings I write tug at your heart too? Do you feel the same way about them? Has your hope left you too?
We Watched You Fall
A tribute to the Niley fans who have seen it all.
We saw your smiles.
They'd sparkle under the spotlights and dance across the stage in colors of brilliant illustration. They illuminated your faces and bounced onto our own, which were helplessly bathed in the lowlight of a computer screen, mesmerized in your chainless arrest. We saw you're smiles and we knew they were real.
We watched you falter.
You collapsed from the pedestals you built so high and slipped through our very own fingertips. You can't act like that fall didn't hurt because it killed you. We watched your love die.
We believed in what you never accepted.
We believe that there once was something so remarkably special about you two and the bonds you held so loosely around your lips. But you let it go and it crashed right through your very own fingertips. You lost the moment because you were too busy searching for the future when all you really needed was to stay right there. Nail your feet to the ground. But we believed in your comfortable future. We believed in what could have happened if only you would have stayed.
We understand that you're happy with him now and that you're happy with her. No you're not. You can't feel the tension yanking at the braid that binds your souls together and wraps destiny within its coils. You can't feel the agonizing heartbreak that has traveled from your hearts to ours too. You don't recognize the tragedy that's coming undone. You can't possibly see it; because you can't see what we see.
