"What the hell did I do?" Harm yelled at Mac as they stood in his office.
"There are times I really can't believe you," Mac shot back at him.
"Damn it, Mac, just tell me what I did wrong."
"Why don't you ask me what you did right. That list would surely be a hell of a lot shorter!" Mac screamed at him before she stormed out of the office with the door slamming behind her.
2 hours later
Harm took a deep breath and knocked at Mac's office door. "Enter," Mac called through the closed door and blinds.
Harm opened the door and stared at her. Mac glanced up at him; it was long enough for Harm to notice the look of death. "I made a list."
"Of what, Commander?" Mac asked.
"Of the things I've done right." Harm extended the folded paper towards Mac. "I was hoping you would read it over for me."
Mac took the paper from his hand, unfolded the paper and read the list to herself as Harm stood in front of her desk.
1. Successfully graduated the US Naval Academy, flight school, and law school
2. Can rebuild planes and corvettes
3. Have maintained 20 year old friendships
4. Call my mother, grandmother, and brother weekly
5. Most importantly fell hopelessly in love with Sarah MacKenzie
Mac read the last one several times, before she slowly lifted her gaze to meet Harm's nervous expression.
"You were right. This list is shorter than what I've done wrong."
"It's a nice list," Mac commented from her seat with the paper still out in front of her.
"I'm sorry I yelled at you."
"I know."
Harm glanced at the paper. "Anything you on that list you want to talk about?"
"Not right now."
Harm shook his head. "So I'll talk to you later."
"Yeah." Mac softly said.
Harm moved towards the door and put his hand on the handle when Mac said his name. He turned around and looked at her.
"I like number five the best."
Harm gave her a sweet grin. "So do I, but I would like it better if the feeling was reciprocated."
"It is," Mac told him as she felt herself get choked up.
Harm's heart skipped about ten beats. "My place. Dinner?"
"Love to," Mac smiled before Harm walked out of her office.
