Characters: Lazard/Reeve
Key Word: Cookies
Setting: Crisis Coreish.
Rating and Warnings: PG. Reeve is crushing on Lazard and it is kinda sappy and sweet in nature⦠urgh, where did this come from. Again, I go with Reeve and his stalking sensibilities.
Lazard always wondered where the cookies would come from. They would appear on his desk every Friday morning. Even when he worked through the night, the small bag of homemade cookies would appear in his inbox.
At first he was a little hesitant to eat them without knowing who had placed them there. The first batch he did not eat for fear that someone was playing a joke on him. The second time they appeared, they were already be devoured by a redheaded Turk that was waiting for him to sign a document.
Reno had left crumbs all over his desk and proclaimed they were just like the ones his ma used to make.
That got him curious and he was wondering if there would be more cookies left for him in the future and was pleased that there was. He opened the small plain brown paper bag and looking inside.
They were chocolate chip cookies. He pulled one of the large cookies and took a tentative bite. It was the best tasting cookie he had ever tasted as he couldn't hold back an involuntary the groan as the divine treat melted in his mouth. His mother had not even baked cookies as good as these ones were. He was disappointed that there was only five after he finished them off before he finished his morning coffee.
He accepted the gift without much thought for awhile and looked forward to his Friday mornings to see them sitting on his desk. Then he began to wonder who was placing them there and that became a curious venture.
It wasn't like anyone else got the cookies placed on their desks. He had made the inquiry to others on the floor and he found that he was the only one.
He began to wonder who would leave him cookies and never a clue as to who was leaving them. That was when he set up a small surveillance camera to catch the culprit so he could properly thank the person for such wonderful treats that would brighten up his often dreary week.
Seeing a small robotic cat placing the bag in his inbox baffled him at first. It was a strange sight to see the creature hop around his room before placing the treat on his desk before leaving with the same dramatic leaps.
It confused him for a moment until he remembered whose project was very similar in nature to the cat that bounded on his desk. He grabbed the small paper bag that contained five cookies and walked down the hall to the culprits office.
He didn't knock before he entered the Reeve's office and saw the man sitting behind his desk. Before the man could speak he held up the bag, "I am sure these would taste even better if we were to share them."
Reeve smiled and pointed to a nearby chair and was a little startled to see a cup of coffee ready for him there. "I was wondering how long it would take for you to figure it out."
