A/N: This is my first HP fic, and it's turned out totally different from how it started. Please let me know what you think.

Disclaimer: Absolutely not mine.

He gulped, smoothed his hair back, and walked over to her. Tapping her shoulder, he flushed when she truned to face him.

"Um...I mean...uh" he stammered. Her cool brown eyes were fixed on him, their gaze turning stormy as he continued to be speechless.

"Yes, what do you want?"

"Would you...er...that is..." He bit his lip, trying to regain his courage.

"Well? I'm waiting." Her tone scolded him for taking too long.

"Never mind," he mumbled, shoving his hands into the pockets of his robes.

He headed back to his dormitory. Glancing inside, he noticed someone was already in there. Damn. He wanted to be alone. He turned and headed back the way he'd come.

Exiting the common room, he wondered where to go. Finally, he went out on the grounds. He stomped along, cursing himself for not being brave enough.

"What are YOU doing here?" He looked up and saw the captain of Hufflepuff's Quidditch team glaring at him. He scowled. He'd wandered to the Quidditch field absentmindedly. He wasn't trying to spy, though he might've thought about it at a different time. Right now though, he didn't care. No good to explain that to them. His house would be playing Hufflepuff on Saturday.

He walkd back to Hogwarts. returning to the common room, he noticed she was still there. If he didn't ask her now, he never would.

"Well, Vincent, have you figured out what you wanted to say earlier?" Her tone was mocking.

Now or never, he reminded himself. Before she could dismiss him, or worse, put him in a headlock for wasting her time, he blurted his question.

"Millicent, will you go out with me?'

END

A/N: Hope you liked it. I tried to think of her reply, but it's even harder to do her character than Vincent's. Less info. :)
