Hitomi: I've stated before in my FF7 fanfic that while I am familiar with certain fandoms, it's the first writing for them. In this case, it's two fandoms. I've been having this idea float around in my head for a long time, but I feel a little reluctant to go through with it since A) I'm really going all out with canon this time (not a lot of it, but enough to keep the story intact), this B) I'm afraid of my mistakes with OOC.
But I will do my best in this. And keep note that this is a story collection filled with drabbles and one-shots concerning Sagara Misae while growing up (as well as Sagara Sousuke and Chidori Kaname too, but I'll try to incorporate the rest of the FMP and CLANNAD characters as well). And it has multiple genres too, so it doesn't fit with just one or two genres.
Because of school (and writer's block to boot), I need to take a bit of a break from the D . Gray-Man fandom for a while in order to keep my creativity going.
Keep in mind that this isn't a multi-chapter story, so this is just for the fun of it.
So now, I present to you Soldier's Daughter (lame title, I know, so I might change it)! Enjoy! Oh yeah, this chapter will be in Misae's point of view; the rest of the collection will be in third person!
Disclaimer: I don't own Full Metal Panic and CLANNAD. They belong to their respective owners, Gatoh Shouji and KEY.
Soldier's Daughter

Brief Introduction
People often say, as I was growing up, that I am practically a clone of my mother.
Which you could say is true. You could even put us together in a picture or something and you might as well say we're sisters rather than mother and child.
The black hair, the brown eyes, and—admittedly—the athletic physique in which many females would kill for (and/or would be the death of their envy, depending on how you looked at it). The height (166 cm), the blood type (B), and how we were in our high school days (my mother was vice president of the student council; I was president). Even our personalities are also the same (especially the temper, according to Uncle Kurz and my father, who were victims of that in their days).
But while it seems I got nothing from my father, there are a few things I did pick up from him. Observation is one of them since I do sense something wrong from time to time with the students who I am apparently dorm mother of. Fighting, while inheriting that from my mother because of her notorious temper, is also something I got from my father ("just in case," he would usually insist with that no-nonsense tone of his). There is also the absolute strictness when it comes to rules and facing the consequences if not followed (although, this, too, applies to my mother so well).
Ahhh, this is embarrassing. I was supposed to make this introduction brief; now, I feel like I'm boring you! I'm sorry about this!
My name, you ask?
Sagara.
Sagara Misae.
Daughter of Sergeant Sagara Sousuke and Chidori Kaname.
Case closed.
Hitomi: Oh dear… I wonder if I went OoC with Misae here… *is worrying* Sorry if I did go OoC with her too in case! While I have no problem writing tsundere, I have to make sure I am balancing out the violent and gentle sides.
And for those wondering why I said Misae's hair was black (instead of blue), it's because I am following the light novel version of FMP (which states Kaname's hair is black; Sousuke's hair is black too).
I hope you enjoyed this, though! And hopefully, I'll be able to write more stuff in this crossover!
