AUTHORS NOTES: this is what you get when you spend an hour trolling through YouTube and stumble across the trailer for the movie of Bridget Jones' diary. One particular line struck me as hilarious to have Rachel say, and this was tapped out in about half a dozen two-minute increments stolen at work. This is one of my very first Glee fics, so any critique or characterisation notes are welcome.
Saturday mornings were good things. Rachel was sure about that.
Stretching out on her stomach, she snuggled up to the pillow beneath her, and turned her head, smiling. Finn was holding himself up just enough so he could lay his body over hers without crushing her beneath him, even though she loved the feeling of being overwhelmed by him. But he was currently scattering kisses back and forth along her shoulders, while one of her favourite parts of him was grinding into her backside, and she loved that too.
Saturday mornings were very good things. This one looked like it was about to get better, when the opening bars of 'Don't cry for me, Argentina' rang out quietly from Finn's bedside table.
Rachel picked up her phone, saw the caller ID flashing, and grinned. Putting the phone to her ear, she used her sultriest voice.
"Rachel Berry, wanton sex goddess with a stupendously endowed man between her thighs, currently aiming for round four this morning with an excellent chance of success!"
Finn was already shaking with laughter - it wasn't hard to tell, considering he was pressed against her so tightly daylight couldn't come between them. As incoherent sputtering came through the phone, Finn bent his head to brush his lips over her shoulder, and Rachel automatically wriggled against him and purred.
"Rachel! RACHEL!"
Finn plucked the phone from her hand and put it against his own ear, "What's up, Kurt?"
"How did you know it was me?"
"Not like Rachel would ever say something like that to anyone else," unable to keep from touching Rachel for one more second, he trailed two fingers lightly down her spine as she obligingly arched against him. "So what is it? Mom and Burt headed home?"
"Yeah, they left about five minutes ago, so they should be back in an hour or so."
"Thanks for the warning, bro, but I'm kinda busy here, so-"
"Wait! Umm… round four? Finn, you never wake up before ten on Saturdays."
"Rachel woke me up at nine today," Finn knew the tone of his voice made it pretty obvious how she'd woke him up, but he still wasn't going to tell Kurt the exact position. That was private. Even if Puck couldn't even dream of pulling it off.
"But it's not even noon!"
Rachel grabbed her phone back, hummed "Bye, Kurt," and switched it off.
Back at Dalton Academy, Blaine walked into his boyfriend's room to find Kurt putting down his phone with a peculiar expression on his face.
"Kurt?"
Kurt simply looked at him, stood up, and smiled.
"Rachel? It's Blaine. I don't know what you said to Kurt over the phone on Saturday morning, but thank you. Seriously - thank you!"
