First Time Travelling

A/N: Just some CS fluff. Enjoy! :)

Emma's arm tightens around my waist, shoving me forwards, while Henry pulls me by my recently reattached hand. This is a terrible idea. Why the bloody hell did I agree to this torture?

"Killian, come on!" Henry whines, giving me his best puppy dog eyes. Damn, this kid is just like his mother, both have me wrapped around their little finger. I'm so whipped.

"Aye, lad." I say as I reluctantly keep walking. Emma looks at me, and chuckles at my nervousness.

"Don't worry Killian. Planes are very safe." She says trying to reassure me.

"Giant metal contraptions floating in the air, held up by nothing. Why would I be anxious?" I say under my breath so that only Emma can hear. She just laughs at me and gives me a quick kiss on the cheek.

"You'll be fine. If anything goes wrong, I can protect you." She says moving her hand from around my waist and holding my hand in hers, all the while smirking at me.

"Why are you afraid of an airplane, when the Jolly Roger was practically a wooden plane when we came back from Neverland?" Henry asks, still dragging me by my hand towards the death trap we are about to board.

"That's a very good question." Emma says, giving me a confused look.

"The Jolly Roger is much more safe than the vessel we are going on because I'm the one who Captain's it." I say cockily, grinning at Emma and Henry who both just chuckle at me.

"Alright, come on. Let's board." Emma says pulling out our tickets as we approach a man standing next to a walkway leading to the metal monstrosity.

Soon we are seated on the plane and I clutch the armrests tightly. Henry is bouncing up and down on his seat next to me, some how extremely excited about going up into the air. Emma is on my other side, opening her bag and picking out her phone.

"I'm just texting Dad that we are leaving. His overprotective side has been shining through a lot recently." Emma says, typing on her mobile phone.

"Tell Grandpa that I say hi." Henry says, looking out of the plane window at the people milling around beneath the plane getting ready for our setting sail. Emma finishes texting and turns off her phone with a smile. She looks over at me and frowns.

"Hey, it's going to be fine." She says, linking her arm through mine and resting her hand on top of mine. I release the armrest and take her hand instead, resting our interlocked fingers on my thigh. Emma's thumb rubs circles on my hand, and I smile at her in thanks. The plane starts up ans it shakes and makes a loud noise startling me. Henry looks up at me and gives me a warm smile, and then hugs me awkwardly. I respond with the arm that isn't wrapped around Emma's hand.

"Thanks kid." I say, ruffling his hair and smiling weakly at him.

"No problem. Airplanes are just like ships after all. They have a Captain and a crew. The only difference is that they sail the sky instead of the sea." Henry says seriously. We are in good hands. Dad." He says, smiling. I look down at him with a warm feeling in the pit of my stomach. He is a marvel, an absolute marvel. I grin at him. Henry reaches out his hand and I take it in mine and rest our hands on the armrest.

"Too right lad." I say. I smile at the two most important people in my life sitting on either side of me, both of them comforting me. I was a not so good man once, but everything changed when I met Emma Swan, and then once again when I met her son. Emma leans her head against my shoulder and sighs in serenity. Henry squeezes my hand and points out the window to show me that we are already in the air and I hadn't even noticed. I smile at him and he smiles back before turning on the magic screen in front of his seat and letting go of my hand so that he can play a game. I kiss the top of Emma's head and then lean my head back on the headrest. Airplanes are not so bad after all.
