"You weren't kidding about the no furniture thing."
"Why would I?"
"It's just a little…eccentric."
"Good word."
"So, why the decision to buy a couch?"
"Hetty and Kensi ganged up on him."
"I see. They scared you into it, huh?"
"There may have been threats about coming home to find the place full furnished by Hetty's decorator, so…."
"Gotcha."
"All right boys, put it over there in front of the window."
Kensi stood in the middle of one of Callen's empty rooms, directing Callen, Sam and Deeks as they wrestled a large sofa into the house. Eric followed with an ottoman. She had taken charge of things and the men had followed along in her wake.
It was really the safest course of action.
As they arranged the couch, Eric cocked his head to the side and listened to the music streaming from the small Ipod speakers Kensi had set on the counter. "That's not Florence and the Machine," he said, puzzled, then his brows shot up over his glasses. "You a Glee fan Kensi?"
Everyone turned to look at her and she said, "What? Like you haven't watched at least one episode."
Sam, Deeks and Eric nodded somewhat reluctantly but Callen just looked at her blankly. "Glee?"
Eyes were rolled and Kensi jabbed a finger at him. "Next thing we get you is a TV."
Then she wandered out muttering to herself and Callen grinned at Sam and reciprocated the low five when it was requested. "Smooth," Sam commented as Eric chuckled.
"Wait, so you know what Glee is?" Deeks asked quietly, not wanting Kensi to hear.
"I don't live under a rock, Deeks," Callen replied. All in all, the day hadn't turned out too badly.
