I Know You Know
By Christina
I know you know
That I love you,
Harry,
But it's hard
Being away from you.
I long to join you,
To be able to
Comfort you
In your sorrows
And celebrate
In your joys.
I can't speak
To you,
Not yet.
Not until the time
Is right.
Those few seconds
At the Triwizard Tournament—
Stolen moments,
If you will—
Were bliss.
It hurts me to think of what
I'm missing.
I won't be able to ask about
You first kiss
Or
Your OWL results.
Of course,
You are missing more then I,
Far more.
Who do you have
To turn to?
Sirius is ready for
His new role,
As a parent,
But he is a convict,
No matter how innocent.
Dumbledore will not always be there.
He is old Harry,
And the recent events have only made him older.
I wish with all my heart
That James and I
Could be there with you,
To help and guide you.
You will never,
Ever,
Know how proud
I am of you.
Not only of what you've accomplished—
More then most wizards have by the age of 50—
But of what you've become.
What you're becoming.
It seems so long ago that I clutched you to me,
Murmuring softly.
You were such a good baby,
Never fussy;
always serene.
You were a rock,
For James and I,
Our source of pride,
Of hope.
You held us together like nothing else could,
Gave us the strength
To continue,
When the wizarding world was in shambles.
You're just like you're father.
For that,
And so many other things—
Too numerous to mention—
I love you
Harry
