Chapter: Sasuke's Conviction
Summary: Basically, my take on Sasuke's journey after Itachi's death.

Blah - Sasuke's thoughts
Sasuke, for the second time in his life, felt his world shatter into a million tiny pieces.
"To protect you."
Sasuke couldn't even gather the strength to scream in agony. His throat was tightening and endless tears streaked down his blood-stained face; a face stained with Itachi's blood.
"He actually loved you more than anything."
"Not enough hate."
The pain was just unbearable.
I can't take it anymore.
"Run. Keep running and cling to your life."
Itachi's betrayal and the massacre was a devastating blow to him. All in one night, he had lost everything; closest and dearest to him. He had lost his brother; the brother he loved and admired greatly. Yet, the truth was just too cruel and brutal. To think that all this while, Itachi's betrayal and the death of his clan was all to protect him. Itachi had sacrificed everything; everything he worked for just for Sasuke.
"Sorry Sasuke, this is the last time."
His heart couldn't take anymore blows. He couldn't stand knowing that his brother had died for him, died for Konoha. Sasuke didn't want to move. He reached out a shaky hand and touched Itachi's bloody fingers. They were cold, so cold.
Don't die.
This was reality. Itachi was dead and it was all because of Konoha. Itachi hadn't betrayed Konoha. It was Konoha that betrayed Itachi and Sasuke was going to destroy Konoha; destroy the village that killed his brother.
Itachi. I will finish this.
