Sage would've usually found it hilarious when Arc or a member of Phoenix squad suffered and would try to make it worse. The blond one was easy target but she mostly focused on Ciara the flaky more experienced one.
Arc was always doing something crazy or unpredictable showing ignorance and arrogance at times. Honestly she thought he might not even be a drgaon blood or come from any sort of family in this kingdom or with a single knight in it. Sometimes he reminded her of her friend Buttercup at times. But now she could see him as somebody in desperate need of a medic and help.
He was lying on top of the broken jagged remains of a destroyed wooden crate with blood running down his chest and stomach. He had blood running down his forehead and his leg was definitely broken. Nobody esle was there and Sage only showed up after seeing Arc run away from that troll again to his empty area and only see the troll leave. With a scary smile on his face and a few injuries.
Arc barely seemed to stay awake but he smiled at her with pain poorly concealed. His neck had large bruises possibly from almost being strangled.
" He was still angry I hitched a ride without permission then later on gave him a wedgie. Foun-d-d me and wasn't too happy." She tried to carefully lift him up and stop the bleeding. She couldn't risk trying to remove the jagged shard embedded in him. She couls keep him awake and bring him toward the sqaure where people were watching the king and princesses.
" Somebody get this idiot a medic. Come on he's barely hanging on someone help him." The princess's face went pale and Sage assumed she couldn't handle seeing blood. Even being carried away by others hurt Arc but he still tried to act tough. Later on she asked Sir Gareth question after question.
" Arc's lost a lot of blood but trust me magic and our medics are much better. Don't worry his limbs and internal things are fine but the only thing wrong with him is caring about you instead of himself. This may be a horrible attack on one student but it's built a bridge between you two." Sage was very confused even after her teacher left and even when she visited him in the infirmary.
" It'll take me a few missed lessons but I'll be back. But I would've missed out on seeing my friends and the rest of my life if it wasn't for you. I need to due something in return. I don't know what maybe make our squads friends? I need to repay this debt? Help me figure how please."
" Sage couldn't think of a response but stuttered nervously trying to tell him...
