This is a one-chapter story, since I tend to not finish a multi-chapter story.

588 words… Just to tell you, I don't think this is a very good story. No, how I typed it wasn't very good. I should learn to be more relaxed with my writing one day. (after I've improved my writing of course…)

The Hidden Village of the Sound was in a forest, hidden and isolated from the world as its master devises plans to fulfill his dreams. In a building of the Sound Village, there was a 28-year-old man dressed in black, with two black swords, which was embroidered with silver, on his back and a Sound headband on his left arm. This man was about 6 foot tall and had black, silky hair that went down to his shoulder. He was walking towards the office of his kage, or leader, of the Sound Village because he was summoned by his leader. The tan-skinned man stopped at the door, sighed, and opened the door. As he entered, he closed the door and kneeled down as a sign of respect to his lord.

"Uzumaki Naruto," the room sounded by the lord's voice.

"Yes, Orochimaru-sama?" replied Naruto.

"Tomorrow we march to battle. Do you understand? You will not hesitate to kill. I will not tolerate your past mistakes to arise again."

"Yes, Orochimaru-sama. I will not hesitate to kill," replied Naruto, like a good little boy.

"Good, now leave," ordered Orochimaru.

Naruto walked out of the office, leaving the building and thinking about the battle that he will have to participate soon. Why do people kill? thought Naruto, Ah… Why do I ask that myself. I have killed many times, even if I don't want. My reason to kill is for my lord and my lord alone, but that reason is not sufficient to my question. Why do people kill? Uzumaki Naruto walked to his apartment, which was a block away from his lord's building. Naruto opened the door to his apartment. "Naruto-niisan!" cried a red-haired 15-year-old girl, who wore black like Naruto and had a flute on her waist, excitedly.

"Tayuya! How are you today?" Naruto asked as he closed the door.

"Good! How about you nii-san? How was Oro-sennin?" replied Tayuya.

"He is fine, and so am I," Naruto sighed.

It was night time. Naruto and Tayuya packed tools that were needed for their battle and headed to the Otokage. After the lord of the Sound made sure that everything would be alright while he was away, the Otokage and his armed ninjas ran into the woods towards their destination. The invasion would be a devastating one and many people would be killed.

It was noon of the next day. Orochimaru, Naruto, and Tayuya were at Konoha, preparing for their invasion. An hour later, two large snakes rampaged through the walls of the village, sounding the beginning of the invasion. Orochimaru was at the roof of a building fighting the Hokage of Konoha, the Sandaime. Tayuya and three other ninjas were with their Otokage to erect a barrier around the two kages, while they fight. Naruto was fighting, killing a Konoha ninja and another and thinking of his past connections with Konoha.

The invasion ended with victory to Orochimaru and his village. Naruto was searching earnestly for Tayuya in the midst of the rubbish. After searching for about an hour, Naruto found the 15-year-old, red-haired girl in an unconscious form (due to chakra exhaustion). Naruto ran towards the unconscious Tayuya and picked her up.

Naruto thought as he walked away from the carnage of Konoha with Tayuya in his arms looking down at the girl, I have found my reason. In order to protect people who are dear to me. That is my answer to my question. How blinded I was so. My answer was right in front of me!

Bad one-shot? I guess… Just thought of typing up a small story all of the sudden… Don't know if the story makes sense! Oh well.
