Leo was busy working on the Argo II, even if it was his birthday. Didn't really change anything, though, since he never really celebrated it after his mother's death. Plus he kinda needed to finish making the Argo II so they could go on the quest to Greece.

While he was working as fast and diligently as he could, he didn't notice a couple of his half-siblings walk in. One had to go over and tap his shoulder to get his attention. When he felt the two taps on his left shoulder he stop what he was doing and looked at them.

They were saying that Nyssa needed to tell him something back at the cabin. Why couldn't she just come and tell him herself? Ah, who cares, he went to go see what it was she wanted anyway. While he and other two, they told him happy birthday and apologized that they didn't really make him a cake. He just laughed and told them it was alright. Just imagining the kind of cake kids of Hephaestus kids would make was just entertaining. Maybe it'd have some sort of little mechanism on it that sang happy birthday and all these little gear designs on it... That'd actually be kinda cool.

Once they got in the cabin, things were as they normally are. Nyssa walked up to him as the two that walked him there went back to what they had been doing before retrieving him.

"Hey there Birthday Boy, how's the Argo coming along?" She smiled to him and before he could answer she called everyone over. Gods, they weren't going to sing him Happy Birthday, were they?

Thankfully no singing happened, but Jake Mason came over with his hands behind his back. Before Leo could ask what was behind his back, Jake just said "Happy birthday from the Hephaestus Cabin, Leo." and showed him a little remake of Festus that was small enough to fit in your hand. Jake turned on the little automaton and the little dragon came to life; shaking a little bit as if it was a dog shaking off water, spouting out little puffs of fire.

Leo was at a loss for words. Jake just smiled and placed the little dragon in his hand. Mini Festus just looked up at Leo and puffed out a little flame again. Leo loved the gift his half-siblings made for him. He looked up at them, "Thank you all so much, he's like the real Festus used to be."

"We found out how upset you were when Festus sort of died, so we thought you'd appreciate a little buddy to keep you company while you work." Nyssa smiled, patting Leo on the back in a friendly way.

Leo spent a little more time in the cabin before going back to Bunker 9. He really can't waste time with the deadline coming up. But it was just a bit more comforting with his new little buddy to keep him company. Mini Festus had taken a liking to sitting on his shoulder like a parrot. Leo just worked with his new companion by his side.

Eventually Leo passed out at the work table in Bunker 9 with Mini Festus curled right beside him as he slept.
